Seasonal Fruits
Summer in Vietnam is very hot and humid, but it is also an exciting time for fruit lovers and vegans! Fruit is essential to everyday life in Vietnam, and signs for it can be found everywhere, from street corners to bicycle vendors. A perfectly stacked pyramid of colorful fruit is a common sight.
The fruit season in Vietnam varies depending on the type of fruit. Some fruits have a longer season than others, while some are only available during specific months. Generally, the best time to find a wide variety of fruits is from May to August. Mangoes, dragon fruit, longan, and durian are some of the fruits that are in season during this time. However, fruits like oranges, grapefruits, and pomelos are best during the winter months. It’s always a good idea to check with locals or vendors to see what fruits are in season when you visit Vietnam.
