We ( family of 4) did the vegetarian street food tour w Jasmine. Amazing day. Great food as well as loads of information / history about Hanoi. We loved it. Jasmine was great and gave us so many tips for Hanoi , going above and beyond ! You won’t regret this tour.
Our two guides were SO incredibly nice and lovely, it was our first day it Asia at all, we were jetlagged as can be and still had such a good time.
We are very thankful. They even provided some locations after the tour.
Absolute recommendation, maybe even the first thing when you arrive (as we did), so you know more about the city.
This tour was amazing from start to finish. I’ll admit I’m not normally a tour person but walking around the streets of Hanoi tasting the amazing vegan options the city has to offer was like an evening out with a friend. Vu is an excellent storyteller and shares his passion of food and his country so beautifully. The food is incredible and visiting local spots means short conversations with locals too. I would say if you love vegan food and local life, this tour is a must do when you visit Hanoi - thank you Vu!
Show up hungry - I went on the same evening as another solo traveller so we shared everything and it was still a lot of (great) food. What makes it 5 stars for me is that it isn't just eating - its the information sharing in between restaurants - we learned a lot!
The tour with Kien and An was really nice.
They showed us corners of the old town that we would probably never have seen alone.
The choice of food was also great and we went home full. We always learned a little bit about the history of each restaurant and the food, which we really liked.
Kien and An are super personable and nice. We had a lot of fun together and would recommend the tour 100%.
Best regards, Flo & Natalie
We had a really cool afternoon and ate super delicious. The atmosphere was super relaxed, we felt like we were traveling with friends, learned a lot and had fun. I can only recommend to anyone!
Had a great time with Vu and Rose 🙂 they took us to some great local food places and customised it based on our requirements. Also great conversation and insights into the local culture. Highly recommended.
This tour was the highlight of my trip to the Northern Vietnam. Kien is friendly, hospitable and helpful.
Not only we went to different places and tried out a lot of unique dishes but also immersed ourselves in many interesting stories of the ancient city told by our guide.
100% recommend this tour

Easier
Vegan and vegetarian food and drinks
For guests who eat meat, many food tours have a lot of dishes to pick from. But it’s not always easy for vegetarians to find a food tour that fits their diet. That’s why we make sure that everyone can have a great food tour experience, no matter what they eat. We make it easy too, by giving vegetarian-friendly options so everyone can have a great time.
More than 10+ locations
Small group
The maximum group size is 8 people (though usually, we have 4-6 participants). Smaller groups make it easier to explore hidden gems, ask the host questions, and engage in meaningful conversations about history and politics. This is not possible with larger tour groups.

I had an amazing food tour with Vu in Hanoi. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, and he showed us the best places to try vegetarian food in the Old Quarter. We experienced an explosion of flavors as we sampled local sticky rice, delicious bahn mi’s, flavorful papaya salad, noodle dishes, local fruits and coconut ice cream. We also tried some locally brewed beer and enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the streets. He shared some interesting stories and facts about the history and culture of Hanoi. Vu was an excellent leader and I highly recommend his tour to anyone who loves food and wants to explore Hanoi in a fun and authentic way.
The only minor negative thing is that some of the pictures shown in the AirBnb video did not match what we actually did on the tour. For example, we did not see the fire stir fry, nor try any egg coffee or the Vietnamese iced lime tea that was noted in the itinerary. We did drink sugar cane juice though, which was refreshing and sweet. I think it would be better if the video was updated to reflect the actual itinerary of the tour, so that people know what to expect and don’t feel disappointed.

Highly recommend this tour! I am a slightly picky eater and vegetarian, hence shy away from trying local food while traveling. We tried about 10 things in our tour, and everything was 10/10. Plus, an opportunity to meet new people

Vu shows you the real parts of Vietnam you can’t typically find yourself as a tourist. The food was amazing, and Vu’s thoughts and insights about Vietnamese history and culture were even better.

This vegan tour is a great step into the world of street food and the best hidden gems in Hanoi. A lot of the places we went to were unassuming and had the most delicious food. A nice mix of cultural learning, local Vietnamese food and it’s also great to meet other travellers that share a love for food. We had Vu on our tour and he was such a kind and gracious tour guide, funny banter and we met some really cool people on the tour as well.
