When we are not hosting tours, you’ll often find our team chatting with locals, the real storytellers of the city. From the iced tea sellers at street corners to the elders sitting by the old banyan trees, they know every hidden lane, every untold memory of this neighborhood.

Locals hold the soul of Hanoi. They can tell you where the best sticky rice used to be sold, which corner café survived the decades, or how the city changed after the war. These are stories no guidebook could ever capture.
Over the years, we’ve spent countless hours listening. One man once told us how he narrowly escaped the Kham Thien bombing by cycling 50 km the night before it happened. Another, at 95 years old, proudly shared how he lived through the days when Vietnam still had a king; how he learned French and Russian in his youth, then English at 80, just so he could laugh and chat with travelers and his great-grand kids (his son’s family live in Australia).

Today, technology and AI can plan your trips with a few clicks (we do that too sometimes 😉), but the magic of travel still lies in human connection in the stories shared between strangers, and the warmth that turns a visit into a memory.

That’s what we love most: seeing our guests learn something they’d never find in a textbook, and watching locals light up as they share a piece of their world. ❤️
