Getting to Know Hanoi, One Bite at a Time: Welcoming Special Guests from The Fewer Things.

We were delighted to host a special intake of guests from The Fewer Things on one of our signature Hanoi food tours. Welcoming travelers through food is what we love most, and this experience was a perfect reminder of why.

This food tour is our favorite way to introduce Vietnamese cuisine—along with a taste of local history and culture.

Food is more than just something to eat in Vietnam—it’s a way to understand daily life, history, and local culture. Many people say the best way to get to know Hanoi, and Vietnam as a whole, is through its cuisine. We couldn’t agree more.

As they say, the best way to get to know Hanoi (and Vietnam) is through food! From bánh rán and bánh mì to phở trộn, we sampled some true local favorites.

During the tour, our guests had the chance to try some beloved local treats. From crispy bánh rán to classic bánh mì and refreshing phở trộn, each stop offered a different flavor and story. Along the way, we shared insights into how these dishes reflect Hanoi’s traditions, habits, and evolving food culture.
