I had a great time with Kien! It was just me so it felt like a tour with a friend. Although it was a food tour I also learned a lot about Vietnamese history and culture, which was my goal.
The food was also delicious and unique (to me). Halfway through I was so full, I could barely eat more but we still trekked on and he made sure I got to at least taste everything. I even went home with leftovers. Definitely go HUNGRY.
This tour was a great way to get introduced to the Old Quarter. Plus I loved learning that this company does their best to give back to the community. I definitely recommend!

We ate several different dishes throughout Hanoi and she explained some of the cultural and economic landscape of the city. Absolutely, we can definitely host you on the tour. A lot of fantastic Vietnamese food is naturally gluten-free since it's rice-based, so you'll have plenty of delicious options to enjoy. We will take a note for the host so she/he will make sure that the foods are safe for you. However please be aware that some options like banh ran (local doughnuts) are not gluten-free but the host will let you know.

We try about 8-9 local dishes, but there are also many hidden spots to explore. We will have a good time walking around, so there's no need to worry about getting too full. While some dishes are larger, there are also small doughnuts and drinks available.

Diep was a very friendly and helpful tour guide who answered all my questions about Vietnam, including on politics and culture! I very much enjoyed his personality and would recommend him. I think the food menu could be improved a little bit though; it had very few of the dishes Hanoi is most famous for (which maybe some people would say is a good thing!) and was a bit on the sweet/heavy side for me. But the dishes were still tasty, and I’m glad I got to try them!
